Sample Model Release Agreement

This Sample Model Release Agreement is a legally binding document designed for TFP photo shoots (i.e. where neither the Model nor the Photographer are paid for the shoot, but where you, as the Photographer, are providing the Model with copies of the photos you take of them, in exchange for you being able to use them, including for commercial and promotional purposes). The sample agreement sets out the rights and obligations of each party in relation to the photographs taken at the photography shoot(s), and protects the Photographer’s position.
You can also adapt it to apply to when you are paying the model.
The sample agreement comes with Explanatory Notes providing further information about some of the clauses. The Explanatory Notes are not legal advice, but rather provide general information only.
